Custom software development
Software built around how your business works.
Certari designs and builds tailored applications, SaaS products, internal tools, integrations and automations for small businesses. Every project is scoped first and priced in a written proposal.
The inquiry takes about ten minutes. No payment details are collected.
What Certari builds
Tailored applications
Web applications built around how your business actually runs, instead of bending your process around off the shelf software.
SaaS products
A product you sell to your own customers: accounts, billing, roles and the operational screens behind it.
Internal tools
Dashboards, admin panels, scheduling, inventory and approval flows for your own team.
Integrations
Connect the systems you already pay for so data stops being retyped between them.
Business automations
Remove repetitive manual steps: notifications, document generation, data syncs and scheduled jobs.
How an engagement runs
- 01
Inquiry
You send the inquiry form. It asks about the business problem, the users and the essential workflows. Certari replies to confirm fit, ask follow up questions or say it is not a match.
- 02
Scoping call
A call to walk through the workflows, the systems involved and the constraints. No pitch. You leave with a clear picture of what a first version would include.
- 03
Written proposal and quote
A proposal with scope, milestones, a price or bounded estimate, ownership terms and what Certari needs from you. Nothing is billed until you accept it.
- 04
Build in milestones
Work is delivered in agreed increments you can use and test. Changes to scope are written down before they change the price or the plan.
- 05
Handoff and support
Documentation, credentials in your hands, a walkthrough and the source you own. Ongoing support is a separate written agreement if you want it.
What to prepare for the inquiry
Rough answers are fine. The scoping call fills the gaps. The more of this you have, the faster the proposal arrives.
- The business problem you want solved, in your own words
- Who will use the software and how often
- The essential workflows, step by step, as they happen today
- Integrations you need (payments, email, accounting, calendars, other tools)
- Existing systems the software must work with or replace
- A budget range, even a rough one
- Timing: when you would like to start and any date that matters
Who it is for
Small businesses and founders who have outgrown spreadsheets, shared inboxes and generic tools, and who want one person accountable for the software end to end. Teams with an existing developer are welcome; Certari hands work over cleanly.
What Certari will not do
- Quote a fixed price before the scope is understood. Prices come in the written proposal.
- Promise a delivery date before the proposal is signed.
- Start work or bill anything without written acceptance.
- Publish your project, name or results without your approval.
Questions about development projects
Start with the inquiry.
